The theme across the line are Hawaiian sea creatures (in honor of my Hawaiian heritage), so each watch is named for a different sea creature in the Hawaiian language and has its namesake engraved on the back. Additionally, I do custom engraved casebacks. I do dive watches largely inspired by vintage 50s and 60s designs, while trying to avoid any direct copies and maintaining an original design. I build these watches as gifts for friends and family (the few that actually wear watches).

So far I have 4 finished watches using entirely parts from eBay (except watch #002, which I built as keeper for myself and sourced SKX007 parts from various well known modding sites). Not to worry! I was just too busy building watches to post anything.

I put a thread up on here when I finished that, then went kind of silent. If I go ahead with this, I will post the results here. So, I started nodding a few months ago by trying repair a Citizen EcoDrive Promaster Diver that had corrosion due to salt water intrusion. Note this is not a discussion about whether one should put watches in the dishwasher, but to help me find the cheapest watches. To conduct this experiment, I want the absolute cheapest watches I can find with 200m, 100m, and 50m water resistance, to see many times they will go through a dishwasher. This I am most worried about, however, we frequently put the lid of a yeti cup in with the seal, which is still in perfect condition, so I'm thinking it shouldn't affect a watch seal also. However, the argument that soap and hot water will wear out the seal does seem possibly valid. so I don't think there would be an issue with the case, bracelet and crystal going through the dishwasher. Which ironically happens to be the 2 things most commonly put in the dishwasher. The general watch is stainless steel and plastic/sapphire/glass. The general sentiment I have seen is that most would definitely not do it as it could wreck the watch. Please let me know if anyone else has already done this. I am thinking of doing an experiment to see how washing a watch in the dishwasher affects a watch.
